Scholarship Program

A major objective of the OWB is to award scholarships to students enrolled in a full-time Enology, Viticulture, or Culinary Arts program with an emphasis on wine.

The awards have ranged from $500 to $3000 per year as long as the GPA was maintained at 3.00 or better. The applicant must be a resident of Oregon or Washington.

Each Fall, a Barrell Tasting and picnic is held at a member winery to celebrate the harvest and the most recent vintage of Oregon and Washington wines. A gourmet meal is served, but the hihlights of the day are a salent auction of rare wines donated by the members and an oral auction of items, events, or travel. Additional support comes from individual donations made by members of the Brotherhood.
